Internships

We are always happy to hear from talented and motivated Interns. As an intern at Betadwarf, it will be your job to work closely with the existing team to help create high quality content. We are looking for someone who longs to be part of a highly creative workflow and wants to take their craft to the next level. We treat our interns as regulars on the team from the get go, you will be doing real work that has a high likelihood of ending up in game. As such, we hold our interns to the same high standards as everyone else in the company, so it's important that you are passionate about working on games.

Producer (Dwarf Herder)

Job Summary

BetaDwarf Entertainment is looking for a passionate producer to join us on our mission to cure loneliness through games. Our next title - Project F4E - is our upcoming PvE, MOBA-like game, with a clear focus on attacking the societal epidemic of loneliness. The game is currently in late pre-production stages and we’re looking to expand the production team to upgrade our processes and workflows in order to deliver a world class gaming experience.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, excels when working in a team and understands how to motivate and bring out the best in individuals. You will report to our Head of Production and be responsible for our day-to-day operations, ensuring on time delivery of a multiplayer cross-platform title on all platforms within the given priorities and quality. You will act as a core stakeholder in driving forward processes and optimizing workflows across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of Development teams
  • Create, maintain and track goals, tasks and schedules
  • Lead planning and sync meetings
  • Execute and deliver on the creative vision
  • Proactively optimize and maintain smooth pipeline in production
  • Manage rapid releases for an Early Access game built with our community
  • Constantly iterate on our process by flagging and solving any bottlenecks and waste
  • Assist developers with administrative, planning and organizational tasks as necessary.
  • Create a development environment to make us the most efficient Dwarves!

Requirements:

  • A passion for games
  • You have a deep understanding of the production process and working with creative and technical teams
  • You have worked as a producer on at least 1 AAA game from pre-production to release
  • Highly Empathetic and able to motivate a diverse group of Dwarves
  • Deep knowledge of project management methods and tools
  • Structured individual that can find patterns in chaos
  • Being calm and deliberate in a highly dynamic development environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and frequently with developers, leadership and external partners.
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Efficient Dwarf wrangler
  • Powerful sense of responsibility and passion for creating the best product.

Senior Community Manager

Join BetaDwarf and create a community for an entirely new Friendshipping Genre in games. You will build a community where friendliness and engagement is paramount from both new groups and the existing community of Minion Masters.

Job Description

As the Community Manager you will report directly to the Head of Marketing & Community and work in close partnership with multiple functions across BetaDwarf including PR, brand, and Release. You will work across multiple titles though your main focus will be the highly community-driven game “Project F4E”, which seeks to create friendships and reduce loneliness. The ideal candidate is highly driven and self-motivated with a proven track record of large-scale community development efforts in the gaming industry.
You must be ready to take responsibility and identify areas that could benefit from your talents. We want you to make your mark on our world and our team, and join a collaborative effort to raise the quality of the entire experience we deliver to the players. At BetaDwarf you will join a team of skilled and companionable dwarves, continually trying to better themselves and each other while creating highly ambitious games.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and execute the community growth strategy for Project F4E through initiatives you create, execute, evaluate and iterate on.
  • Coordinate community events and tests for Project F4E in early development.
  • Help form the community team with hiring, thinking and tools.
  • Form and execute a strategy for making a Friendshipping community.
  • Form the framework for, build and manage all player-facing communication spaces.
  • Contribute to channel and content strategy by managing content calendars, leading content ideation, and turning concepts into high-quality products.
  • Analyze and report on user data to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and innovation.
  • Provide meaningful feedback to developers and artists on the community’s sentiment, concerns, and suggestions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience with brand communications, forums, and social media
  • Demonstrated success contributing to strategies that drive results
  • Deep familiarity with online player communities across platforms like Twitch, YouTube, etc.
  • Familiarity with performance tracking and measurement and ability to report successes and opportunities
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Agile mindset that can handle shifting task priorities
  • Thrive on critical feedback and input from multiple perspectives
  • A passion for playing games

Pluses:

  • Good technical knowledge that can help you be independent with reporting and relaying bugs and fixes.
